Gothic Art
Gothic art has changed much over the centuries. There is the more traditional style. This was produced in some areas of Northern Europe between the middle ages and the beginning of the Renaissance. A lot of it was rooted in religious devotion, and is better known for the distinctively arch design with its churches, stained glass, and manuscripts. A lot of the architecture was made simply to span ever larger areas.

Towards the end of the 14th century, the Goth Art movement developed into a better known style, more recognisable as International Gothic art. It was succeded by Renaissance art, which is actually considered to be Goth art by many. In the second half of the 18th century and well into the 19th century there was a large revival in the goth art movement.

In more modern times Gothic art has come to mean somthing different to a lot of people, with it moving away from architecture and more into darker paintings and images asociated with the gothic music movement.
