When is the Whitby Gothic Weekend (WGW)?

* Fri 26th - Sat 27th OctoberWhitby Gothic Weekends are now run twice a year, one in April time, and one of course in October, around Halloween.
What is the Whitby Goth Weekend (WGW)?
Whitby Goth weekend tickets are available for the whole weekend at very reasonable prices compared to most other music festivals. The festival has resisted descending into commercialism, it has it's roots in genuine goth fans. Whitby Jo, is top goth and started the weekend along with some friends over 10 years ago.
Whitby Goth Weekend has been getting bigger and better ever since, and Whitby is a great venue for it. It has strong ties with Dracula, and its amazing gothic cathedral remains. You should also get a friendly welcome. Whitby is used to the weekend now, it's well run after several years of practice.
The WGW has made Whitby into the goth capital of the UK. You really need to check it out if you have any interest in anything Goth, it's a great couple of days away and Whitby is the perfect place for it.
